Michael Mosley on stage

I had bacon and 2 poached eggs for breakfast today. It's so much easier when I'm on holiday. Normally I just don't have time.

Full disclosure I have actually spoken to him... well stood next to @CherryAA while she spoke to him at the PHC conference this year. He looked a bit lonely so we went to talk to him about low carb. He seemed a bit interested but I'm guessing thought that book space was already quite occupied so he hasn't jumped on that particular way of eating yet!

I live in Surrey so might just go to that though it seems a lonely time of the year post panto and dieting season but just before we are all forced to face up to any Winter excesses, to be doing such a gig.
I don't mind if he's earning money by selling his cheery reassuring Trust Me personnae as most of what he says is perfectly sensible though I do not think he has any passionate convictions about anything.

Does he have a new book out, or something?

There are some you tube vids of him around if you go looking for them. One I saw was him on stage Down Under. Presumably on a thinly veiled book selling tour ;)

I have quite mixed feelings about him.
His watered down version of lots of different approaches, is just piggy backing off all the other people who actually do the work (like Professor Taylor of ND fame), but at the same time, if it is getting the word out... Just a pity that the the profits of all his publicity goes into his pocket, rather than the people who actually do the work, or the the research organisations which could use it far more usefully.

His "8 week blood suger diet" book does talk about "low carb", some people discovered low carb from his book.

Not long after out you and I chatted to him, he did come out with this review .https://www.diabetes.co.uk/news/201...ow-carb-benefits-in-new-article-94180932.html

He did take the time to go to the PHC conference and a lot of what he says is reasonably compatible with low carb principles een if its not quite as obvious as others , On balance he seems like one of the good guys..

Hmm ok I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.. one of the good guys maybe.. time will tell...

Let's say, I expect most people with Type2, if they had him as a GP, would be doing a lot better then standard NHS care.
