Mid-Morning Hypos; Muscle Aches; Memory Lapses?

Jack412 - no worries. I live in Tauranga, New Zealand.

Nosher8355 - I agree, that things are not black and white. To me, they are contextual. I too have looked into natural ways to manage the situation. I believe that personal testimonies of natural solutions while encouraging are subjective. Because we are all unique in make up.

I see where people may conclude that there is a hidden agenda in the food and medical industries and government.

You'll be happy to know that after discussing my symptoms with the GP they have completely stopped the Gliclazide. With a plan to stop the Metformin in the near future.

With the exception of Omeprazole, the meds I mention in my sig are the only meds I have been taking. I used to be on psych meds but was urged to get off them by the endocrinologist. I have discussed the issue with my GP who left the decision to me, but encouraged me to weigh the options carefully. I tapered off over 18 months.

When I was discharged from hospital a few weeks ago I was prescribed Enalapril for hypertension. Instead I have tried to manage it naturally.

My Blood Pressure today was 145/100. A blood test was taken and the results will be back on Monday. I was prescribed Cilazapril 1.25mg in place of the Enalapril, for once a day and the GP will re-evaluate the situation in 2 weeks .

Incidently, just before I went to see the GP my BG was 3.4 mmol/L.

Also, I was prescribed anti-biotics for tonsilitis.

Donnellysdogs - Yes, I have read that statins are reported to cause symptoms similar if not the same to mine.

I think that you are getting to grips with your condition and you just seem unlucky to pick up other 'niggles' that don't help.
Keep on at your doctor and carry on the fight against diabetes, you know now that you can do it!
Has your hypertension been the cause of the reading of blood pressure?

England will beat you in the third test?????? (Rugby).

Thanks nosher8355. Yes I believe the BP reading was due to hypertension, but will see over the next two weeks. So it seems there is progress!

Hehe, I actually like England as a team. But we will see ... :)

We English have a tendency to think we are all world beaters and that no one can have the audacity to even think of it! It is a flaw in our psyche!
Then when we get beat, just like in the football World Cup we moan! The press and media don't help!
We have only one real world beater and that is Phil Taylor, Darts PDC champion 16 times!!!!
