Missed Lyxumia injection.

I went out to eat taking my Lyxumia pen as I always ask the waiter/waitress how long the meal will be so that I don't inject and then find that I have reached the hour within which one is supposed to eat.
I had not checked and found that the pen had run out.
Question. What next?
Do I just wait until tomorrow or do I wait an hour or so when I can enjoy a tin of rice pudding and inject before I eat that?

I did not want to miss the injection so I made the assumption that I should implement the injection and then force myself to eat some Rice Pudding and Icecream.

I've never used that medication or anything similar but from reading the information, I think I'd have done the same as you - eat something in order to have the injection.

Keep an eye on things in case this slight change to normal routine has any effect.

Sorry no one was able to,give their own experience but I think you made a sensible choice :)

Sorry that I'm late with this... I think that there are only a handful of us Lyxumia users on here.

Both courses of action seem fine to take. I've missed a dose completely once or twice, and I've also taken the dose with my next meal instead. Officially, the paperwork that comes with it says "Take it with the next meal".
As long as you are taking it before food, it doesn't really matter too much.

Interesting ...

Firstly my nurse told me I have to wait an hour before I eat - is this wrong?

Secondly...rice pudding...is that ok with type 2? I thought that would be loaded with carbs and sugar
