As the title suggests I'm about 10 days late for my period which is usually very regular. Coincidentally for the last 5 days both my basal and bolus requirements have literally doubled. I've changed pens and taken a home pregnancy test which is negative and so I'm really confused.
I'm used to changing my basal for various but I've never had to change my bolus for last 4 years since my honeymoon phase ended.
Anyone any thoughts of any underlying reason that could cause this. No other changes to weight or lifestyle??
Confused

@drahawkins_1973 Stress and/or heat are my first thoughts. I've had to change my ratios this past fortnight and increase my basal too.

Interestingly, there's a similar question in Pregnancy from another member.

I'd test again with a different brand of pregnancy test in a few days just to be sure, and meanwhile adjust your insulin as you need. It's frustrating, I know. I waited days before adjusting mine because I was hoping it was a temporary blip.

Hello @drahawkins_1973 To be honest I tend to run high around the time of the month, then a few days afterwards my levels return back to 'normal', so it could simply be hormones affecting your insulin resistance and you may well be due soon. Do you normally see a change in your levels when your due on ? Have just seen @azure response so apart from changing your insulin and keeping a close eye there isn't any more I can add to that, hope it comes good soon :)

Thanks both!
I don't usually have any insulin changes during my cycle.
I guess it's another one of diabetes little mysteries. It's so unlike me though, but I'm probably worrying over nothing which in itself is probably not helping.
