Mmol/l And Mg/dl Conversion

So since I'm in America where even the blood sugar measurements are different, I decided to create a thread to help out with conversion.

So mg/dL's (American) numbers are 18 times that of mmol/L's (other places)

5.5 is a perfect number in mmol/L and 100 is for mg/dL

In essence mmol/L times 18 equals mg/dL and mg/dL divided by 18 equals mmol/L

Not sure where the figure 18.018018 comes from. The molecular mass of glucose is 180.15588 so, taking into account that a litre is 10 times the volume of a decilitre, the conversion factor become 18.015588. https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/compound/D-glucose#section=Top

However, our measuring devices don't have that degree of accuracy so using 18 is fine.
