Morning Stomach Ache

I tried flax, chia, quinoa and the like... My abdomen swelled up like I was 6 months pregnant and hurt/cramped to the point of weeping. (And as someone with chronic pain, I'm not one to cry easily over something that hurts). Try doing without for a week, see what happens. If everything clears up, you've got your culprit. If not, the search continues; elemination works slowly, but eventually you'll find out what's causing this. Worth a shot, if the discomfort is so great... Good luck!
 
On the 200 gm packet of milled flax seed I have it says 7 servings - so just less than 30gm per serving.
I suggested soaking it to make sure that it was not absorbing all the moisture in your stomach which can cause colic pains. Fibrous foods can swell up enormously and set into a gelatinous mass, which is possibly the cause of your pains.
