Had a naughty bank holiday weekend and numbers have shot up from 7.1 average to 9.6 average. On diet and exercise with Hba1c test end of October so a setback. Bit fed up but self inflicted and back now on low carb . Assuming it will take a few days to get this glucose out of the system!! Working hard on diet and exercise

Don’t beat yourself up about it, we all indulge now & then, the important thing is you get back on the wagon and you seem to have done that :) there’s a few weeks until the end of October so as long as you stick to what works for you it shouldn’t make that much difference

Thanks for the encouragement!!! Just inpatient I guess to get the numbers down.

We keep saying it because it is so important: Controlling diabetes (or remission if you are fortunate) is a marathon - not a sprint. So it's better to have a sustainable plan yielding decent results, than one which gives fantastic quick results but is unsustainable in the longer term!

Edited for spelling.

After 13 years since diagnosis and managing on diet and exercise, I totally empathise with it being a marathon . The occasional bumps in the road are still tough though when they happen. Sometimes you just need to hear that voice of encouragement
