Dear all, just wanted to share my amazing news on my Mounjaro progress:- I have been on Mounjaro since August and have increased from the 2.5mg up to the 7.5mg pen. I have lost 22lbs over 17 weeks so a nice steady weight loss (not as much as some though). The best news though is that my HbA1c has dropped from 81 to 41! The Doc was worried I am having hypos! I have managed to get my insulin down to 10 units and will be gradually dropping down with the aim to come off completely.
I haven't had too many side effects, occasionally get nausea (bit like morning sickness) and occasionally stomach pain. Also occasionally get diarrhea but nothing I can't handle, as this happened before Mounjaro anyway. I have gone off some foods - milk, tea, coffee, fried eggs (sadly not chocolate though ). The 'food noise' has completely gone and I am not obsessing about food any longer. I find I have to eat main meal at lunchtime and just a snack in the evening or it does lay in my stomach and gives me indigestion.
All in all, this has been an amazing journey and as long as it agrees with you, I can highly recommend it. Game changer!
Love to hear others stories please.
