No change in diet, so... What did change? Mine usually go up after a flu-jab, did something like that occur? Are your strips still in date? @In Response mentioned a whole lot of things, all of them and then some can affect blood sugars. Anything you can think of?Hello there,
I’ve been using diet & exercise to keep blood sugar fairly low (average 6) but for the past week it has been over 9 a lot - average 8. No change in diet. Does anyone have any ideas please? Thank you & what a lovely forum! Carmel
Welcome @Carmel12
There are many things which can affect our blood sugar levels. We could eat exactly the same and do exactly the same exercise for 7 days and have 7 different blood sugars.
In addition to food and exercise, the main things which affect our levels are illness, drugs and stress. Other things can be the weather, bad night's sleep, drugs, time of the month, time of the day, alcohol, flu jab, covid booster, ...

Same here, a very sudden unexplicable raise that started November 4.
Because HbA1c and temperature have a u-shaped relationship I tried leaving the temperature higher last night and so far it seems my BG stays significantly lower than the previous days and my TIR is back to 100%. So may be the raise is caused by lower night time temperatures.
As regards stress I have had a bit of a traumatic week ,we had a leaking roof which brought part of a ceiling down ,and the car failed its MOT .My glucose levels went up by 4 or more
