Multi vitamins

I did buy some when I first started with Diabetes but the Doctor told me I did nto need to take so long as had a good diet so did't bother but am sure many take them as a precaution

I take them even with a balanced diet. Reason for this is I lack vit B12 and apparently also vit D so have to take supplements. So I take a multi vitamin and also vit d capsules.

If you go to your local health food store they will show you what ranges they have and let you decide which one is best for you.

Personally I buy mine in the supermarket - much cheaper for the same thing.

I had to have infusions twice at the hospital and came off metformin for a while but then was back on them again and still was told not to take vitamins but I guess they are good for you otherwise so many not be sold

Sainsbury's multivitamins and minerals. Not too expensive. I take one daily.

I take Centrum Advance 50+ multi vitamins. They are a bit on the expensive side at $25.00 for 100 tablets, but I trust these because they are not a generic product with substandard ingredients.

I take a Boots Multi vitamin with digestive enzymes £8.99 for 90, once a day and also vitamin d high strength for 7 weeks, prescribed by gp, and then to continue with 1000 iu over the winter. I’ve read that most British people lack vit d over the winter months. I’m taking the multi vitamin to see if they help with terrible fatigue, bone pain and muscle weakness and will see how they go, sometimes anything’s worth a try!

I take omega 3-6-9, odourless garlic, vit C, vit B complex and ferruglobin. This combination seemed to improve my cholesterol good/bad ratio and blood pressure as it was the only change we could identify over six months. Since then other changes have resulted in health improvements all round but I'm carrying on as I don't want to mess with the current trend towards better health. I am getting over colds much more quickly now too.

Where you get them should not really matter but they need to be taken with caution and full blood works beforehand. Taking vitamins of things your body already has enough of can cause adverse impacts. Of course, natural producers of vitamins and minerals are better than pills but I understand access and taste is a factor. But, it is important to beware the danger of becoming overactive in something.
