hi,
new to this,
pre diabetes last six months but mum was LADA, will i get type 2 diabetes or LADA .
Doctor has not asked about family history or anything.It was only after mum was on tablets for about six months fo type 2 and them not working
that they did a C-pep test and put her on insulin injections.(this was about 15+ years ago)
 
Hi. It's impossible to tell but your risk is higher. Even if you do get diabetes it could be either T1 or T2. If you are slim at any diagnosis then LADA is more likely. Just keep an eye on your blood sugar and get a meter if you haven't already got one.
