Muscle cramps

On metformin and januvia for a while but have noticed over the past few months that I’ve been getting cramps in my legs, especially when stretching them out. They’re forever feeling tight as well.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

You will find that there have been previous posts about cramps. Those will be helpful.

The Statins may have something to do with this they are known for muscle aches
I am on atorvostatin and little in the way of side effects compared to others I was on

The statins could be the culprits, it’s a known side effect. I would speak to your Dr, a different statin may not cause aching muscles. I'm now on Rosuvastatin 20mg.

As an aside I have suffered with aching leg muscles for several years. Long before I started taking statins. I did speak to my Dr about it very recently. He suggested taking Creatine monohydrate 5 mg daily. It has made a big difference, I barely notice the aches. Obviously it's a supplement so best speak to your Dr, but it worked for me. I take the pure form, no additives, no flavours.
