muscle pain

For the last few months i have had very painfull upperarm/shoulders, lifting my arms to put clothes on, taking things off high shelves was also very painful. 2 weeks ago my Dr said to stop taking Metformirn as my glucose levels have been good and my weight 15kg less, and my BMI is good. My arms have stopped hurting and my bad back too......just a coincidence or does Metformin cause joint/muscle pain?
 
Hi. It's not a common problem with Metformin based on feedback on these forums, but there are always exceptions. Sounds like you will be OK without it. Diet as always is the key
