Hi to all,

I went to docs for my A1c test result n it came bk at 7.7 which doc days is a good result since been on victoza nearly a year in may.
I checked on the A1c levels n it says 60 mmol of glucose so how can it be right
if doc says its a good result.

We did loose one of our dogs at the weekend as she had the same problem as her mum did unable to walk ect.

Well 60 is better than 70. What have your previous results been? If 60 is much better than it had been then that is good.

An HbA1c is a measure over the last few months so will not be raised significantly by stress.

Sorry you lost your dog. I lost one of mine to a stroke recently. Sad isn't it

@Diligent500 I see you posted a fbg reading of 10.6 on 4/12/15, so a reduction to 7.7 now is good, if you can reduce it more to below 7 you will be in the non-diabetic range.

Sorry folks, but I am confused by the lack of units people are (not) using.

HbA1cs are measured in % (in the US) and mmol/mol (in the UK)
Home blood glucose meters measure in mg/dl (in the US) and mmol/l (in the UK)

So as you can see, there is plenty of scope for confusion:
