So I weighed in and am a bit disappointed if I'm honest. Still lost 1.1kg, 2lb 1/4 in old money which is acceptable but I have to admit I was looking for double that off this week. Probably a bit ambitious and unrealistic but thought it could just happen.
Of that 1.1kg, 0.9kg was actual fat loss so that is encouraging and means I am burning fat stores which is the name of the game.
So do I have another week on 20g carbs, no fruit or nuts, or do I move up to 25g with the forbidden fruit included?
I could try a week on 25g and if weightloss is disappointing, could revert back to 20g the week after.
Decisions decisions....

My comments regarding the yo-yo were mainly the addition, then potential removal (repeat as necessary) of the things you seem to crave. Sooner or later that must feel like deprivation, fuelled by frustration.Lol yo yo dieting has now been redefined! Within 5g lea way.
My low carb megastore order came and I had two lemon biscuits. Wow! Dipped in cream were lovely and still within my allowance.
I'm not really 'suffering' with Atkins - just miss being able to grab nuts! I've got cupboards full of them and if I can't have nuts, I can't make cheesecake! I lurve cheesecake!
I think I'm going to have a week at 25g with fruit included. I can't see it killing me. Must also drink a lot more water as I feel bloated today.
My initial goal wast to control BG and I have I think - am in the fives now which I'm really really pleased with, but the docs always harp on about weight so I'd like to show them I'm doing it all. Sometimes I feel that being overweight overrules any other possible explanation for things! I also want to be lighter to aid my prolapsed disc which is causing me so much pain constantly throughout the day, despite my cocktail of drugs.
Anyway I can't see really that reintroducing 5g of nuts and strawberries carbs is going to balloon me. I forget common sense sometimes.
I think when I read other people's successes that I want a piece of that too! It seems unfair too that I've changed my whole life since diagnosis and achieved a slow loss, where others (mainly blokes grrr) lose stones in a month!!
But overall I know this isn't a race and longevity is the key. Ultimately I really like this diet regime and will continue to experiment!
I love your comments so keep them coming!

Apparently intermittent fasting becomes much easier once you've gone through the adaptation for fat burning - because you're able to access the fat stores in your body for energy, you don't feel hungry in the same way you would when you were adapted for burning glucose and requiring frequent "top-ups". The experiment of the guy who fasted for over a year just living off his own fat stores seems to indicate that it works quite well if you have enough fat to burn:Off topic, but is it normal to lose appetite on the low carb/modified Atkins diet? What are your experiences? Ive just been doing it recently...I don't feel really hungry anymore and most of the time rarely do I get to finish my meal or I'd feel sick if i get too full, sometimes Want to miss a meal even...thanks! Hope I can get feedback from those who have done it longerthanks!

Boobs are just fat, men obviously like fat in certain places lol. That's titty!! You've done amazing. I can't imagine what being 3lbs off target must feel like! I can't think about end weight - just taking it 7lbs a time and although it would be fab to let it drop off quickly, I know it's not the best way.
I got some really nice compliments at the school today which was a great boost and definitely keeps me motivated but it is really all about the BG readings as far as I'm concerned. I sometimes wish I had my own lab to run hypothesises through - like is it the losing weight that lowers BG or lack of carbs or both? And what happens when you play about with them.
I wore a skirt yesterday that I'd not worn since before I was pregnant with my first baby who's about to turn six! Stuff like that is just a brilliant measure and so satisfying as I don't really feel any slimmer.
Boobs have shrunk though
