Hi
My dad is 62 and was diagnosed T2 around 2 years ago.
He takes metformin and the one beginning with a G(?)
He sort of has taken it seriously for the past couple of years food wise, however he has always been a drinker and continued to drink lager, not a lot, but a few beers every couple of days.
The bottom of his legs and feet have turned a faint purple colour and he has little feeling in his feet. His previous doctor didnt really do a lot so I moved him to my surgery where we have a specific diabetic Dr and nurse in the hope that they can advise him further. This has only just happened and as he was taken into hospital they havent really had a chance to get their hands on him.
He is presently in hospital with pneumonia, but is being sorted out and they are going to X-ray his legs/feet this week to see whats happening.
When he does come home I am just wondering if there is anything I can do, or make sure he does to try and bring his feet back to some sort of normality?
I bought him a circulation booster for Christmas so I am hoping that might help in some way, but is there anything more we can do for him?
Thanks.
Daz
