My Foolproof plan.....

@Neohdiver you clearly seem to think you know far more about this than I do, so I will leave the floor to you.

The thread was meant to be a celebration of my annual review, and a shout out to the many other posters on here who I respect and who have helped me, often without even realising it, plus a "tongue in cheek" miracle cure to beat the big D.

It takes all sorts I guess.

And it should be exactly that ... a huge win. Anyone can pick apart a post, but the underlying message is your success, so if you don't mind, I'll steal that floor and hand it back to you. Well done. @britishpub ... an extraordinary turnaround

Mike

@britishpub I don't think I've seen anyone post about being in the "4% Club" since the good old days of Midwife Libby - can't remember the handle she used, but I was soooooo impressed at the time and have never forgotten her epic weight loss and spectacular A1c.

Last I heard she's still in the 4% club, maintaining her weight loss and spectacular A1c with low carb -
seems like you're another legend

@Indy51 unfortunately Low Carbing has not improved my memory.

I have read many of your posts and links over the last year, and they have informed and inspired me. You are one of those I apologise to for not mentioning in the OP.

Hi @britishpub, what amazing figures! I don`t post all that often but I do read on here A LOT (my oh says obsessed!), I have always found your advice to be straightforward, reassuringly human and not frighteningly technical as can sometimes happen. Please continue to help the people who are brave (and sensible) enough to ask for help.Well done!

I had my annual review this morning with my nice DSN.

My HbA1c is now 22, with cholesterol all still looking good.

I thought I would take this opportunity to "share" my foolproof 10 Point Plan to kick T2D in the unmentionables.

You must follow all 10 points for this to work.

1. Remove all obvious Carbohydrates from your diet immediately

2. If your HCP prescribes Metformin, take it. It will help.

3. Be patient. Wait until your BG levels are regularly in the non-diabetic range before you experiment or try to find substitutes for your favourite Carbs.

4. Don't over complicate it. It's really simple.

5. Don't obsess over your FBG levels. A Liver Dump is a normal thing, celebrate the fact that your body works properly.

6. Don't over Test (see points 4 & 5)

7. Listen and take notice of @Brunneria @AndBreathe @zand @nosher8355 @Daibell @NoCrbs4Me @Squire Fulwood @Mike D @13lizanne @Clivethedrive these, and many others (apologies to those I missed out) are my heroes.

8. Follow @GeoffersTaylor diet to the letter (minus the McDonalds, KFC, Beer & Merlot  )

9. Errrrrrrrr...............

10.

PS. If you get a PM from the Mods, don't argue, take it on the chin and move on.

Ref point 7 - I couldn't agree more. I recognise all these names. They are part of my life support team - along with my butcher and my egg guy! Thanks. Sean
