My low carb/IF Diet - BG and progress

Not as well as you! BG back up this morning.

Lol! I meant I was up in the night again, not my bg but surprisingly it's down today! Used my new strips for the first time today and it was 7.1 this morning.
go figure

I was and am a bit hungry today though and in the night - I think maybe because I stopped eating an hour earlier than normal. I'll still wait til lunchtime to eat the garlic chicken roasting away in the slow cooker....smells so good!

Clive - portion control is definitely something I need to be mindful of - Ive always loved food. Hopefully all this is having a positive impact on that too. I think I'm looking a bit less bloated...and absolutely feeling more energetic xxx

@zand. Rome was t built on a day. Keep doing all the right things and good things will happen. Have you looked at Jason Fung? I've friended him on Facebook so I can follow his articles. You've probably already done this but thought I'd suggest it.

Although I'm happy for people who do well I am also envious at how quickly their weight and bg plummets! O wish mine would....

We can do this - especially while we've got Clive onside

Another stressful day thanks to the ex but muddled on through. At the moment food isn't my 'go to' thing any more when it has been for so long. Tested blood a few times. Lowest reading was 5.6 before lunch but rose to 7.8 before dinner

L: roasted garlic chicken, green beans in knob of butter. Water.

D: prawn, avocado and salad. Diet Coke. Nearly made my own Mayo til I discovered I was an ingredient short!

I'm starting to get used to water but still need to eat more...

May have some cinnamon Greek yoghurt with a cup of tea later if I feel peckish but I think I'm ok!

Lemon....so could I have made it without? X

Nice with lime juice or white wine vinegar instead of the lemon

With the acid in it, it's less likely to split, so you could consider it a higher risk, but yes, you could do.

Alternatives to the lemon juice could have been vinegar, mustard or the like. It's just a bit of acidity. I usually keep a sneaky bottle f ready squeezed lemon or lime juice in the pantry. It's not to lovely as utterly fresh, but handy.

Ooh vinegar - got loads of apple cider vin to use up! If only I'd asked you!! I'm quite excited to try making it now....

I couldn't do it without you guys. Wish I'd come back sooner!!

Isn't it a lovely feeling when a plan works out and you know you are doing something so good for your body? You are doing great.

Today was ok. Had hunger pangs this morning but they went after my coffee but returned at around 11.30 - an hour before lunch break and I just had to ignore it. Took a bg reading before lunch and was shocked to discover it was 7.0! May be that I was running around too much but I was expecting a lot lower - considering I was hungry!! I need to definitely up the water intake too.

L: prawn, avacado, lettuce, cucumber, basil spray, Mayo. Half can Diet Coke. Turkish yoghurt with cinnamon and seeds.

S: 4 strawberries and dollop whipped cream. Tea.

D: courgetti, chicken, garlic, cream, mozeralla and fresh basil sauce. It was divine!!! Water.

May start chair exercises tomorrow...depends what time I get back from work....

Xxx

7.3 this morning. No idea why but I think chicken may have something to do with it

Felt hungrier today - not sure why....

L: chicken, cauli mash, broccoli and dollop chutney. Greek yoghurt and cinnamon with seeds.

S: salami and Brie

D: quarter pounder with cheese, lettuce, onions. Cream and strawberries. Tea.

Typing this in I'm quite shocked at how much I've had today!!
