Hi there, after posting on here a couple of days ago (being new to LCHF), I have spent my time doing lots of research, reading lots of posts etc and am starting to get my head around this new way of eating. The problem is I keep getting really hungry and snacking (low carb of course). Today is the worst it's been. I finished my lunch 30 minutes ago (an avocado, prawn cocktail and iceberg lettuce) but my stomach is growling so loud and I could eat the contents of the fridge (although what I really want is toast). Is this normal? Also I am due my period, could this be a factor? Btw this forum is a god send!!
Today I was on s training course so had to go slightly off piste but think I was in good control...
L: McDonald double cheeseburger bun removed X 2. 4 Brazil nuts.
D: crayfish salad with avacado. Water. Strawberries and cream.
I've decided not to do much for my 40th so I'm going to buy myself to some snazzy scales that track progress and statistics to an iPhone! I'd rather have that than waste it on a big meal, booze and any other type of debauchery when I'm on the wagon and doing so well.....I'll go to breakfast with my kids and a friend and that will be it!
Ps. Still no Diet Coke!! I'm excited to see if it makes any difference.

Had to get up at 4am as lying down hurt too much. FBG 6.3 so it's coming down. Did lots of walking yesterday which I think must have done something. I'm going to try and match around the playground during break time! X
