Do you use a glucose meter to test your blood glucose levels throughout the day?
Any inflammation like UC/diverticulitis can, but not necessarily does increase glucose levels. Testing is the only way to find out if it affects your numbers.
Sleep apnoea is another one that may or may not affect your levels.
The bipolar type 2 may or may not affect your blood glucose. Likely not directly, but behavioral changes in food and exercise are very common in changing mental health, and those can easily affect your numbers.

Hi and welcome.

I did have sleep apnoea for a few years - when my BG went out of normal range around 2009/10 I gained weight very quickly (I think I topped out at a 20" collar) and developed apnoea. No idea what impact it had on my BG as I had been firmly told that I wasn't diabetic, so wasn't testing or even interested in blood glucose levels.

Roll on to diagnosis in December 2019: although I got my BG in normal range in a couple of months, substantial weight loss didn't really happen for a while. The apnoea went around early/mid 2021, and hasn't come back. I haven't used or needed a CPAP since.

@VOGON SPACE CAPTAIN, I agree with @Antje77 , UC is an inflammatory condition and chronic inflammation may raise your insulin resistance, which may in turn cause your blood sugars to rise. Also any meds you are taking may contribute, steroids for your UC for instance, but it does depend on the type of meds you are on as well.

I don't know about the other conditions you mention.

G'day mate, and welcome to the forum. :)

Unfortunately, I too am not familiar with any of your associated
medical conditions, and it's concerning that you suffer from so many.

My opinion would be that you need to run these questions past at
least a couple of your attending physicians, as none of us here is
qualified to offer diagnostic advice of this nature—particularly for
serious ones. Maybe check with your gastroenterologist or cardiologist
as a first port of call?

Please take care, and I hope you can get this sorted out in the near future.
