My phone won't scan freestyle libre

Hi I have downloaded the andriod app for freestyle libre. I cannot get my phone Samsung s9 to take a reading from the sensor.
I have followed the app which leads me into how to attach sensor but cannot see how to "scan now"

Is NFC on your phone enabled?
Is Location on the phone enabled?
Have you located the NFC point area on the phone and placed it over the Sensor?
Have you made an account?
Is the Samsung S9 on the "compatible with Libre" list?

Other than that no idea unless it has some message that pops up?

You are not the fist person to try to scan a Libre with a Samsung S9.
If you use the Search function at the top right, the first thread after this thread is:

This shows the Samsung s9 is compatible although that OP had some issues.

Did you remember to scan it within an hour of starting the sensor?!?

The sensor had been on and activated for some days before I installed the app.

I had activated the sensor some days previously and been scanning with the libre scanner prior to installing the app and attempting to scan.

There is your problem. The phone/app has to be scanned within the warm up hour. Reader first then phone/app. I think we all did that with our first sensors lol.
