Okay so I'm waving a big wave and announcing my return.
I haven't posted since June and have fallen away from the forum along with just about giving up on noting what I'm eating and even getting really lackadaisical about testing.
I haven't actually given up low carb (thank goodness) but am certainly eating much more than I was across the day and when I remember to test if I'm in ketosis ,I never am.
Last night I got out of bed and made toast and cheese (all be it with heylo bread) and this morning my first bloods were 9.3. Its ridiculous, a couple of months ago I was annoyed if it was more than 7.
I did have an hba1c in July which was down to 42 from 43 in March and 44 last November so I was absolutely on track but if they did it next week it would be a different story.
Nothing really to blame (except maybe knee replacement recovery, impinged shoulder, sprained wrist, my wee mum went into care, my dad needs lots of looking after, work is hard and I've had covid that led to the most horrible long lasting cold. )Pity party , yes, but eating has kind of turned into something nice I do for myself.
So today is My Monday reset. noting everything, two meals a day, less than 20carbs a day, and testing before and two hours after.
August 2023 my hba1c was 54 August 2024 it was 42 so I know how to do this!
And we're off.
