Hi.
Does anyone pay for the my sugar app. The basic app is free but to access all it's features it is £20 a year.
I'm tempted to pay the year subscription but don't want to if it's not very good

I paid the subscription, others don't. I would get the free version and see how you get on.

You can always upgrade later.
 
I just use the free version it provides an estimated hbaca1 which is what I use it for. It was also fairly accurate- it predicted 31.5 and my result was 30 so happy with that for a free app. Why not try free version for a bit and see if it suits you?
 
Can you make notes about what you have eaten on the free version? I've been doing really well with my BS. Tonight I had chicken salad with one 2 slices of low carb bread and added some chilli sauce. When I did my BS 2 hours after my meal the results where 10.6 and I wanted to note what I had eaten to cause the rise. I've had the low carb bread a few times and never had a rise like this.

I got some low carb bread. I had one slice and got good readings. Two slices to make a bacon sandwich saw them rise into the stratosphere!

I am fairly sure that you get most of the functionality for free. Make sure you enter as much info as possible.

You can definitely note your food on the free version. You can also tag a record. For example, Enter your reading then tag it BEFORE MEAL, then tag it BREAKFAST. Then later tag your next reading AFTER MEAL then BREAKFAST.

I did two weeks free then upgraded to make better use of more tags, for example you get access to tags like: AFTER SPORTS, FEELING STRESSED, FEELING HAPPY and so on. It can really help you build a picture of how more than just your diet affects your levels.

Either way, you can't go wrong really.
