Gorgeous!
I know there are those who believe that a tame robin is a spirit of loved ones who have passed before. It's a nice idea, and some robins are certainly a lot tamer than others! :)
Passed this on to hubby who replied that it wasn't his grandmother as she would be insisting on being taken for a "run" in the car :) however, hubby maintains that the robin likes hubby to talk to it so ....

A sharp frost and -5 here this morning,

but look what I found peeping out from a sheltered position by the hedge...

Apologies for the fact that the pictures are a little fuzzy - I was shivering!
:)

It gives a little hope that Spring is not too far away.... :)
Just shows what a difference a few miles of southing can make to the weather. Cant wait to see those daffs in flower :)

Hubby's little Robin friend has invited his mate the blackbird to join him in our garage. Now the two of them are following hubby around

Well they were both on the garage at the same time, but I was being mawkish when I described them as friends the robin isn't aggressive toward the blackbird but keeps its distance

@13lizanne - How cute Anna :). It nice that the Robin has a 'friend' = didn't think they were friendly to other Birds?.
You're quite right, William. Robins are among the most aggressive and territorial British birds, although they step it up considerably in the spring when their thoughts are turning towards their love life!
Gorgeous pictures, Anna!
