I would dissolve sugar into the water.

Frequent small drinks of water or better still Dioralyte will stop you dehydrating which is very important when suffering diarrhoea

http://www.dioralyte.co.uk/ Dioralyte is available at all good chemists

Hello Elit .

I too have diverticulitis so know how you feel
It can take 4-5 days to settle with myself - antibiotics are needed if an infection [in the pockets]

This isnt pleasant so you have my sympathy and it can make things quite erratic too .
The BG levels can trough and peak during the flare ups
Keep testing and jot things down if you need to see your GP .
Best to see your GP if no improvement or with pain cramps and spasms .

Lemonade and hot boiled water cooled down - to sip Or
Use diet lemonade though - ' if ' no need to raise your BG levels ...

Anna.
