No not till after Christmas it’s was just through the drs receptionistMy advice is to analyse the breakdown. The total cholesterol is just that - the total of the good and the bad.
Do you have the breakdown? (HDL/LDL/triglycerides) and was it a fasting test?

I’ve lost nearly 5 stone xIf you have lost weight then that will have raised your cholesterol levels - it is part of a perfectly natural process and as there is very little information about what is a natural level of cholesterol for Humans from before low fat was the way to eat, I remain skeptical.
There was a revolt against taking statins in France at one point - there was to be an elevation in the death rate from heart attack and strokes, according to the medical profession - and indeed there was an alteration in the death rate - it went down by about the same amount as the predicted rise. Until that can be explained, I'd rather be on the side of the living statin free than being treated for something which is made more likely by the treatment.
