Hi, i need some infos on pumps in uk. My husband and i am are getting posted to uk in summer time. I am diabetic for nearly 23 years now and i have got the pump for 15 years (cannot remember exactly since when, but for ages) and i love the pump and dont want to go back to the old days.
As i am german and do not know how it works in uk, here some questions:
- i will get a new pump just before we leave germany, what when the time of the pump runs out and i need to get a new one? got the D-Tron at the moment but you cannot get in anymore
, not sure yet to go for the omnipod or the accu-chek combo
- are there any problems to get all the pump stuff of the doc?
- to test my sugar level in mg/dl, only heard of friends that in uk the meter will be in mmol/l. Is that true??
- how is the service of accu-chek in uk?
- when you applying for a job, do you have to tell the company that you are a diabetic? I always did at the end of an interview, so they know and i felt more relaxed as i did not wanted to hide that i am diabetic
Thank you for you help
