Good morning all, new to the forum.

Prior to be diagnosed 3 years ago with Type 2, I was at 150lbs. When diagnosed I was at 135/140 lbs. I simply can't get back to my 150 lbs again. I want that. I'm told by my Endo that eating carbs would do it. It certainly would but we all know the consequences of that. I am currently on Levemir, about 24 units per day. I am now using a bit a Novolin R when needed. It's bringing my numbers down quite well, which in theory should put more weight on me because I'm not peeing out calories with the higher numbers. Any ideas of putting some weight on without carbs? thanks much

About 18 months ago, after surgery, I had to work very hard to regain a couple of kilos I had lost. I upped my portions, generally, but then concentrated on consistently adding a little extra protein and fat to each meal I ate. It's pretty horrid eating a nice meal, then having to ensure we eat a bit more, but it works in the end.

It took me over two months to regain my couple of kilos, so don't necessarily expect anything quick; unless you increase the carbs.

Good luck with it all.
