Type of diabetes
Type 1
So type one for 14 years, was good up to the point of when my mum let me take control so when I was about 11(going to school by myself). Then down hill I went. Didn't test, didn't inject. Have has DKA several times. Now at 20yrs of age I'm realising that this illness isn't going to disappear. I've got to grab hold of it and sort it out. So I can live my life without further complications which I myself don't need or anyone of here. Let live the one life we've been blessed with!
Sorry if all that seemed sobby I just needed motivating.
Hope everyone is having a great day!

Hi @loulou_rs

That's very motivating You're absolutely right about the need to take and keep control. It's hard work sometimes, but very worth it.

Diabetes is a cunning little beast and it needs keeping in its place. Well done on taking control

Hello Loulou,
very pleased you have decided life is for living and taking the control you need Take one day at a time don't expect instant results and you will make good progress feeling so much better in the long run as you start to rebuild Rome

Morning @loulou_rs You are spot on - don't let this win, you are the boss, getting the right mindset is the battle won with type 1, be prepared for anything and have the knowledge and determination to own it. Mentally it does take effort yes, but keeping those levels in range and knowing how and when to adjust is down to each and every one of us. If you need support we are all here
