Ally the reason I clicked winner there was really all round, but mainly because in all this frustration, you're still thinking of others. One thing, I would urge anyone that gets any numbness that might be neuropathy, please badger your surgery. I don't want one to suffer the way I have regards the way I was ignored.
Thank you. It's been a very long hard slog to get where I am todayGreat that you are being properly investigated at last. I often think that drs and gps in particular are dismissive if you have a diagnosed mental health condition - they often initially put any unusual symptoms down to your mental health conditions so I’m really pleased it’s moved forward. As you had to keep being persistent to get it investigated I’m Pleased it’s on track at last take care and look after yourself.

Whadda gal.
Thank you.
It's sad nowadays that we have to suffer.
I realise the nhs is under funded, but the way I look at it. Is if I had been listened too in the early days, then maybe I would, t have got as bad as I am now. I do now feel that I am costing the nhs more money because of the extra problems.
The worst thing is that they know that you are bi-polar and they sit back and wait till you have the strength to force them to do something. That is disgusting treatment, they should be much more helpful to you because of your mental issues. I am proud of the way you have pushed and pushed to get the help that you deserve. I am not as strong as you, I couldn't do it. Good on you ally. I hope you don't have to wait too long for your next appointment and I hope you get the regular tests the consultant says you need from your GPThank you.

I agree and have thought about complaining.I hope you've checked avenues for lodging an official complaint against your GP. Their treatment of you sounds above and beyond neglectful. Downright cruel if you ask me. Grrrrrrr!
You are a star, Ally xxxOne thing, I would urge anyone that gets any numbness that might be neuropathy, please badger your surgery. I don't want one to suffer the way I have regards the way I was ignored.
I don't think of me being a star. You are a star, Ally xxx
Have received a letter from the hospital this morning.
On 14th November to have nerve conductive studies. Requested by the neurologist. He is on the ball to try and find out what's wrong. Am impressed by him. I pressure that's to see if nerves are working but no idea how or what they do
Thank you.Great news Ally, and not too long to wait. I'm so proud of your perseverance.
Thank you.
I am still waiting for appt for the MRI scan but I know that most likely be awhile.
At long last someone is listening to me
The neurologist did say, my gp should have referred me sooner.I completely agree. Thank goodness!
One thing the neurologist did prior to seeing me Friday, was to go through what meds I am on. He had the meds listed on the referal letter. He had researched them all and found no connection where they may interfere. So at least he did his homework before doing anything else. To me that means a good consultant
I will keep updating.I'd agree with you Ally.
It's quite important, in my view, to be treated by someone we respect, because we'll be much more confident of things working. I know that sounds illogical, but if I don't like the person treating me, or I feel they're a bit flakey, whatever they advised I'd be much more sceptical of how it'll go.
Keep us in the loop Ally.
