I received a letter to make an neurology appointment as my local hospital today.

The earliest they can give me is August 22nd at 3pm, that 3 months away and slap bang in the school holidays  It is a provisional appointment because I asked if there was another hospital I could go to ( I have been to Frimley Hospital by train and then a bus) and the lady said I could speak to the Doctors medical secretary and ask for other hospital options. I rang and the medical secretary has gone home, so I was told to call back Monday morning :x :x

A three month wait, god, I hope my ankle doesn't seize up altogether by then, or nothing drops off in the meantime. I wonder how much going private is???

RRB :lolno:

If you ankle gets bad, just go to A&E. I wouldn't suffer for 3 months. Good luck ;-)

Thank you seaspray and Mo1905 for your replies, very much appreciated

Thank you for asking :) I had forgotten I had written this post. Last week the hospital rang me and said would I like an appointment on Friday the 12 July, yesterday, so I said yes,

The Dr asked me lots of questions and gave me a thorough examination, plus walking up and down, on my heels, toes, I was weighed and my height and blood pressure taken, all good. I felt a bit down because I do have nerve damage in my lower legs. It is not situated in one place but patchy and I thought the problem was just the left leg/ foot/ankle but also in my right leg. My problem left knee is not nerve and I told him of all the tests I have had done and they came back negative, Lupus and Arthritis, but he said there are similar conditions. So off I went for a blood test, 13 different ones, a 50 minute wait (very busy), 4 bottles were taken and the doctor is referring me back to my GP about my knee(possibly some sort of Osteoarthritis) he could hear the way my knee kept cracking and also pain around the knee area, he requested a nerve test and to see him again in September. He said to keep the BS stable and in a good range, oh lord do I try, but they has been better since being diagnosed with Coeliac disease last year. He was very thorough and hopefully my ankle/foot will get better in time. I wasn't going to post, because it's one thing after another with me  .

Thanks again and I hope you are enjoying the weekend.

Best wishes RRB

Thanks Thundercat, it was great for the appointment to be brought forward, so I'm sure future appointments and tests will be a positive outcome and sort out my poor old bones/nerves ( and of course my input)

Hope you are having a good day.

Best wishes RRB
