Type 2 Neuropathy

For me, they test the sensitivity of my feet with a little brush thing.
I was ticklish ... and not neuropathic (is that a word?)

hope @buckerso4 does not mind but can we increase the scope of the question to include the role of the MRI scan. Fingers crossed I get the results of my leg scan Thursday and I have no idea what questions to ask. Am I right to think damage only occurs if there is a hbA1c above 62?

No, I have neuropathy in both feet and I'm prediabetic

Thank you for the heads up. I shall have to start doing lots of background research and see gp armed with the materials for making copious notes so that she makes the appropriate referral just to get rid of me. Fingers crossed it is something that can be treated.

My first diabetic eye test was negative.
My second was positive a year later showing damage to the nerves in or behind my left eye.
My third which came after eighteen months of increased fats lowered carbs shown that it had gone!
Good blood glucose control and fats repaired the nerves.
I'm almost a normal eater these days but keep the increased fats so I'm looking forward to my fourth test which can't be far off now.
