New chart for HbA1c

Hi, I am very confused !!! I was diagnosed with boarderline Type 2 last July and was told on Friday my HbA1c reading had gone down to 64 from 89 but I am trying to find out what the old reading would have been. Does anyone know where I might find the comparison charts? Still coming to terms with diabetes but thought I was doing really well but Dr. told me he wants it below 7 :? Am I getting my wires crossed here, still learning/or not the jargon?
 
You can convert using the formula IFCC (Old Style) HbA1c ÷ 10.929 + 2.15...

So 64 equates to around 8% which is a drop from just over 10% (89).. going in the right direction.

On the Homepage of diabetes.co.uk on lefthand side of website as you scroll down there is a Toolbox that you can click on. There are converters that you can use to convert the new style Hba1c over to the old style of seeing it as a percentage. Just type in the new reading in the bottom box and then press calculate to see it displayed as the old %.

Hopefully we will get used to the new measurements just as those of us old enough to remember in the 70s when decimalization arrived I have at last stopped my husband saying I am not paying 10 bob for THAT
