New DSN Low Carb Convert

WOW! Fantastix news xyzzy You are quite lucky in having a nurse open to new ideas but all the hard work and preparation
paid off, in fact probably exceeded your wildest dreams!

I am sure these results will go further than your own Practice. That is one in the eye for the specialist DSN who refused to listen last time!

I hope you are duly proud of yourself becaue we are all proud of you.

Thank you unbeliever I am really touched by that. I will have to think carefully what to say to the gp. In my area ALL the T2 care is being handed down to gp's as part of the governments reorganisation. Apparently my practice gp is seen as an "expert" according to the nurse so hopefully I can make a good impression.

Well done Xyzzy,

you give us all hope and also proof that it can be done.

Ime sure you will be able to convince your GP that it can be done, in fact it has been done!!

Proud of you.

Well done, Xyzzy! The wall is coming down, one brick at a time . . . Your hard work has certainly paid off.

Sadly, Catza, the real "old ways", dating back to the 1970s and earlier, said "control your carbohydrate intake" to diabetics of both types. What goes around, comes around. eh?

Hi

I have been diagnosed with Type 2 since autumn 2008. I have asked my doctor/diabetic frequently to arrange a trip to a dietitian but getting nowhere. Diabetic nurse said definitely 'NO', just eat plenty of carbs! Am going to print off the documents and try again! Have been thinking about low carb and will give it a try. Thanks xx
