New Flash Glucose Monitoring from Abbott - Bloodless Testing

Dexcom receiver handset £1200 VAT-free (only needed if you don't have a Vibe pump).

Or available from your local alcoholic priest for a few crates of DRINK!

I'm pretty sure I paid £975 for the starter pack (receiver, transmitter, 4 sensors). Or maybe it was 1975?.... I'll double check.

Prices I was quoted from Animas for Dexcom:

Starter Kit which includes the transmitter & four pack of sensors - £500 ex VAT
Transmitter - £335 ex VAT
Four Pack of sensors - £186 ex VAT
No idea on price of receiver as I've a Vibe.

I double checked. The prices from the other company (not Animas), whatever their name is:

Starter kit (receiver + transmitter): 975
Transmitter itself: 325
4 Sensors: 250

So the price to start (receiver, transmitter, 4 sensors) is 1232.50

No VAT.

Does Animas sell Sensors to people without the pump? The sell them cheaper! :(

They are unable to give out that info just now so have to wait
Hope it is not too expensive and the sensors are not to dear
i am trialling it tomorrow .i was told it would be£100 a month when i enquired with my dsn but he put me forward to to trials cant wait

will try to i am new to using forums .cant wait to get it moved onto omnipod a year ago so no needles anymore and now this ts just getting better and better after 22 years of type 1

It doesn't do away with finger pricks completely but it's a step in the right direction, forgot to say........... welcome to the forum.

Yes I am really interested in this, being able to scan my arm while in the middle of a body attack class instead of having to stop, wipe the sweat off do the test and then decide whether I need a sweet or to adjust my pump basal would be wonderful...and just imagine being able to run, scan, keep running and see whether it is blood sugar or lack of fitness that is holding me back...LOL.Really want to try although yes, the cost is a consideration to say the least STILL EXCITED Rx
