I am not over worried , it is just that I don't like the fact that it is so,public on the threads page ...Kat, if you are so worried, when anyone posts on your profile page, answer them by PM (conversation as it is called on here) and delete the post on your profile page. Then no-one can see it. Likewise, never post on anyone else's profile page - send them a PM instead.
Simon, I can't see the message I left on your profile, as 'front page news'...........yet

That would be nice ....but no that is not the case

Profiles were never intended to be a place where users could engage in private conversations - that's what PMs are for.So it's a bit like telling your good next door neighbour something (and you don't really want to tell the whole world), but then finding out all the neighbours are behind the fence are listening and then gossiping about itis that a fair assumption.......................
@Giverny, yes thank you, but I do know that, I did not say 'private or even confidential' in my post, I know how to use the pm system very well. If I wanted to say to a 'friend' on their profile 'Happy Birthday you old so in so', I expect it to stay there and not on show on the front house ?? Is that correct or incorrect ?Profiles were never intended to be a place where users could engage in private conversations - that's what PMs are for.
a good sign maybe but ill be checkin the front page for a while just in case
Simon, mine thankfully, hasn't shown up on front of house and my setting is on members only, have you tried yours again?
This morning ....when I sent a request to Giverney ....a response was made on this open thread about keeping it more social ...BUT WHY ? my recent post on Simon's profile hasn't shown........ as yet ??
Or could it be a case of pick n' mix Kat
