Type of diabetes
Don't have diabetes
Hi, I am just approaching 70 andI have a strong family history of type 2 diabetes and I want to avoid developing this myself. I want to do the low carb diet as I am slowly increasing in weight despite eating carefully and I think low carbs may be the answer. I don't have a problem thinking of meals ideas but I need to be able to eat a healthy snack mid morning and supper time, what are the best snacks, any ideas please.
 
My only snack vice is pork scratchings but seriously if you follow the LCHF diet you probably won't feel the need for snacks as higher fat content food makes you feel full for longer. Give it a go and you should feel the benefits.... lot of people here have. Have you had any tests one to indicate you might have higher than usual blood sugars?
