New Rybelsus Formulation

I just learnt from a friend that Rybelsus tablets’ formulation is changing, resulting in smaller packets containing smaller tablets and apparently smaller doses, though the doses aren’t really as the bioavailability of the med is improved. Here’s a link to official info:
 
My surgery changed me to the new lower dose and issued a new prescription (even though I'd just picked up one of the higher dose). I've just carried on taking the existing tablets I have, but I'm thinking of trying the lower dose ones for one month to see what they are like and then using up the higher dose ones the next month.

I’ll be interested to hear what you think of the lower dose tablets. I’m on 7mg so will change to the 4mg which apparently have the same bioavailability of the drug as it is absorbed better.

I'll be starting them in 10 days so will let you know. Also may use my Libre sample half on the 7mg dose and the rest of the time on the 4mg dose.
 
Is it just me, or does the new tablet taste just as bad as the old one? Yuk!

Oh no, they could have tried to improve the taste! I still have a couple of months of the old formulation, and will have to see whether I get the new ones next time.
 
I've been away for a few days so have delayed my new lower dosage tablets for a couple of days. Do they taste horrible? I don't have a problem with the taste of them, just pop them in my mouth and take with the required amount of water.
 
My experiment with a GCM and the new lower dose of rybelsus is that I think that they aren't as good as the previous dose and my baseline is up 0.5 mmol/l (from 5.1 to 5.6). I think if you are running at higher levels then I don't think it would be as noticeable.

My friend who I referred to in my OP doesn’t think they are as good either, though she was talking about the appetite suppression, she says her appetite has increased on the newer tablets making it more difficult to control her weight. I’ve still to switch, I have a few more months of the old formulation and my prescription on line hasn’t changed yet. So we’ll see.
