Hey guys o/
I've started this in hopes of bringing down my very high blood sugars.

I use lifesum to log my food so I can keep track of things. But I was wondering about ratios.

I've set my carbs to 100g for now which is 27% of my calories. I was wondering what I should be aiming for when it comes to protein and fat.

Thanks. :)

@Phorxy Hey how are you?

Are you trying to lose weight as well as lower BG? just wondering if you need to restrict the others as i think everyone sort of finds their own way with low carb. I eat to my meter so I'm not hungry constantly and thats about it!

Yeh, I am 248lbs, so I need to lose the weight. Just trying to feel my way around all this. @_@

I've lost weight and got BG down a lot with low carb high fat.................results below.

I aim for less than 50g carbs daily, but often end up at 70-80g.

I aim for 80% of my calories from fat = about 60% of fat by food weight.

So, 50 grams carbs, 70 grams protein, 150 grams fat roughly (lots of double cream).

But everyone is different - experiment, test your BG regularly, see what different foods do to you.

Most people find that BG control and weight loss are better, the lower carb they can go.
