Hi payne...
Welcome to the forum. Have a good look around the forum and if you have any specific question then just ask.
You will find it all very confusing as a lot on here do not go along with mainstream medical/dietary advice. Read as much as you can, then get back to us. Don't panic !!
Sorry to hear about your diagnosis but you've come to the right place here.
First of all, I'd advise cutting back on the starchy carbohydrate that you eat - i.e. cereals, bread, potatoes, pasta, rice etc. That usually leads to a quick improvement in Type 2s. By the way, that dietary advice might not be in line with what your doctor or nurse tells you.
I've been a Type 2 for nearly nine years and I've no problems or complications that I'm aware of. You can read my story here if it is of interest to you:
Any questions just ask. If you'd care to outline the foods that you are eating people on this forum will give you great advice on what changes you maybe should make.
