Hey I'm 21 , I have been diabetic since I was 7; I have always struggled to monitor my diabetes , how long does it roughly take to feel normal with your sugars at a normal level ?

Hi, sounds too familiar! I'm type 1, 20 and was diagnosed when I was 8. I have weeks where my control is great, however they are rare. However to answer your question, i think it depends on the person, but I can get my bloods straight within a day...it's just keeping it that way which is hard, am I right? x
 
Hi and welcome. Can you tell us a bit more about yourself and the problems you are having with control. What insulins are you having? Are you carb-counting? What sort of diet do you have?

I know that if I'm high (18 or so) and adjust for that it take 3 to 4 hours for my levels to come down (to under 9) and feel "normal" .
