new to insulin pump

hello to everyone on the forum. I am new have been on my insulin pump since 2012. I was wondering if there was anyone else on a pump who I could chat to about different things even after all these years I am still learning.
 
There are lots of pumpers here who can give advise and experience.....


hows it going at the moment....?
 
My quick response it down to my hovering the forum trying to kill time until 1600 when I can leave work....lol...

What sites are you using currently with the pump....?

I use the top of my thighs and I think there is some swelling there now for me although absorption has not been effected...
 
try the top of the thighs.....

if your getting absorption issues you need to move away completely from the effected area....

You can infuse insulin anywhere where you'd inject insulin, so legs, arms and buttocks can be used too.
 
putting the cannula on the buttock would it not be in the way or the legs would that not be in the way when I go to bed and am lying down and turning around in bed

No, not in any significant way.....

The pump can be clipped on to underwear but I often sleep naked and just let the pump sit loose on the bed....and everything is fine...

if it was in the buttocks you need to careful you don't tug at it pulling trousers on and off but in my experience the tubing can take a good weight....;)...

Some people go round the back to their love handles too....
