New Years Eve

Had half an indian takeway,, Chicken byriani & veg curry, other half for tomorrow hehe, (like to make good things last). Now just chillin the new year in.

I've got a confession .......................................
All over the Christmas period I never had a mince pie, not even a smell of the caster sugar topping, so tonight I thought as this is the last day of this year (why do we always try to find a good excuse?) I would have one with my tea. My tea consisted of 2 x pork chops and 1/2 bag of mixed chopped veg, covered in gravy, salt and pepper and cooked in a slow cooker for about 4 hours. I then had a mince pie (((( shudder )))). OOOOH was it nice...........................then this little horned figure that was sat on my left shoulder spoke to me and said "go on my son, have another". I tried so hard to brush him off knowing he was the devil in disguise but alas I secomed to his unrelenting voice and so had another one. OMG, I thought afterwards, I've just eaten 2 full mince pies. How could I have done such a thing...........................especially without the double cream.
My pre dinner reading was 6.2, after dinner reading 13.5 but I'm pleased to say another 2 hours on and it's 5.2 (don't ask me how and I checked 3 times) but I now think it's time for a small New Years Eve nibble and another glass of Cherry Coke Zero. Gonna see the New Year in on a low reading.:D:D
 
I wish to return to work and feel better because for about two months I am in bed depressed and without hope and the do tor said I am prediabetic bleahhhh.

If you have use of a laptop or pc whilst in bed, come on here and we'll try and cheer you up. Along with all of the brilliant advice on here, believe it or not we do sometimes get a good laugh. Like Lorraine said, tomorrow is the start of the rest of your life.:D

yes it is .. Saluki's are the only dogs I know to eat salad !! I had a cauliflower grill thing with the salad .. didn't get to eat much of it myself mind !!!!

Oh believe me golden retrievers and black labradors can also eat salads!! My goldie would also take whole pears from the fruit bowl to eat and from the 6 bare rooted varied fruit trees I bought once.. Whilst I had unwrapped them and put the roots in water she hunted out the 2 pear trees and chewed them to pieces, but left the others...
She always ate anything at all including salad.

Thanks Robin his legs were all bendy,actually it was quite hard finding a sheep managed to find him at the last minute.
Hope you had a lovely night happy new year to you also.
 
we went over to friends for a chilli. Mr Chris played a few songs, then we watched a bit of Queen with Adam Whoever trying to be Freddie (sorry but there was only one Freddie) had a glass of bubbly to be polite as I can't stand the stuff, then watched the fantastic fireworks from London. Watching Jools now mainly to see what Ronnie Spector is like now. Mr Chris and his band played as her backing band late 70's (also the Crystals) the only resolution I'm making is no resolutions then I can't break them. Have a great 2015 everyone :playful:
 
I was determined not to besmirch the honour of the forum so I had
Stilton & celery soup but no bread
Baked salmon and all good veg except 4 small new potatoes :shifty:
A very small syllabub 3 teaspoons
Loads of cheese with one oat biscuit (there were 10 different cheeses)
I took my own diet tonic water in case there were only sugar drinks.

There was no dancing to work it off, but we played Pit, which involves a lot of shouting and waving cards at each other violently.
Weren't the London fireworks amazing?

For brunch I had 2 fried eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes and two small cocktail sausages, and then went for a walk for an hour.
Glad to be home and hope you all had a peaceful start to 2015. Thanks for being there.

Lol yes it was fun everyone dressed up which was good,and someone was sick on there carpet I don't drink so it was not me.
