Hello just want to introduce myself. I’m a new member looking forward to join forum. I have been Type 2 diabetic for 3 years. My a1c has been elevated 7.5 I am on oral meds. I’m worried my endocrinologist will put me on insulin.

As for your concern about insulin, what sort of oral meds do you have currently? There are lots of alternatives.

A lot of us control our diabetes (T2 anyway) through diet. So you'll hear quite a lot about that, if you want to. Just be aware that your medication in combination with a low carb diet can cause hypo's, so if you want to give that a go, test, and test a lot.I am on Synjardy and Jun

I am working on low carb diet maybe keto.7.5% = 58 mmol/mol.
Have you altered your diet since diagnosis in any way? I appreciate your HbA1c is with medication, but lots of people here have got from much higher values down to pre-diabetic or even non-diabetic levels with low carb diets.
