Hi, I’ve been diagnosed as type2 in January and put on Metformin and Glimcazole (I think that’s what it was called!). I’ve also changed my diet and I’m walking more. I’m now on two Metformin a day, going up to 3 next week. I’m only on Metformin now.”, as of Wednesday.
The bit that’s confusing me is working out the benefits of what I’m doing and what the drug is doing. My glucose levels have gone from an average 15-20 to 5.7-7.8. I’m not sure if this is an impossible question to answer, but is that mainly due to lifestyle change? My doctors, and I are keen for me to come off Metformin ASAP so I would love if it this change was not due to them.
