Hi all. I'm new to the forum, but not diabetes. I was diagnosed around 20 years ago and to be honest have never really got on top of things. I started on tablets, then mixed insulin, then 2 types of insulin and currently I am on Victoza, metaformin, pioglitozine and levemir.
I have never really embraced my diabetes, I take my meds, but I have never really got into really organised testing and although I have modified my diet I'm not as disciplined as I could be. I think I am still after 10 years in a sort of denial, and constantly think I'll worry about it tomorrow.
I know my stuff on most areas, but I struggle to be disciplined and follow all the stuff I should know. I also tend to swing from a period 9th trying to just giving up. If my blood sugar goes high and I don't understand why I just chuck the towel in and give up.
Apologise for essay, I decided to come on here in search of advice and good ideas how to turn it round before its too late.
Cheers
Tom
