Hello all, I am new to this site, just looking for support and friendship really! I am 32, i've had diabetes for 26 years and also have complications (retinopathy and neuropathy mainly), is there anyone else out there in the same boat?! It can all get a bit depressing really at times

Hi Tribe, Sounds like were very similar ive also got servre retinopathy( now registered blind) and bad nuropathy (check out my username it might give it away) Im 35 but despite any hurdles i have to overcome, im a proud wife and mother and my view is that everything is acheivable just sometimes differently.

Welcome aboard - I'm pretty new too. Am 34 and had diabetes since I was 9, I don't do things by halves so I got the full blown type 1! It does get depressing sometimes doesn't it? I seem to go through a million hospital appointments sometimes and just keep my fingers crossed I don't pick up a sickness bug when I am waiting!!!
Still, this site has really helped me - it's good to talk.
And no, I am not on commission from BT!

Hi there.

I'm pretty much new to this game, only six months diagnosed with type two, but the ****** has already been at my feet so I must have had problems for a year or so before that.:(

Anyway, I have taken my life in hand: I walk more (one of my hobbies is rambling ) I do more cardio in the gym & I watch my food like a hawk. I est pretty much everything, but in small portions - about five to seven times a day.
It seems to be working: the blood sugar is going down & so is the excess weight - I have achieved my first target of getting to my top weight in the healthy bracket.

Now if only I could get the blood pressure down it will all be peachy............<font face="Arial"></font id="Arial"><font color="teal"></font id="teal">
