You are doing so well Steve50 - congratulations so far.Day 41. Weight loss 0.4kg. Yes - I know - amazing overnight loss of 0.4 kgWeight is now 86kg exactly. BMI is 24 exactly - and fasting blood is 5.2 - again down - one point exactly!!!!.
Good luck TyTy - it will take a few days to get used to, two shakes and then a soup or salad - see previous posts watch the weight fall off.hi well i am starting my diet tomorrow , did people have a shakes 3 times , what kind of food did people and when
Ha, funny you should say that. I decided yesterday that the reason I have had to add more bedclothes is because I have lost my built in duvet! Nice to see someone sort of confirming that hypothesis.Day 13. Weight loss back on track. Now down 5kg (11lb) and BMI is 25. I am 0.1 kg above 'normal'. More importantly my fasting blood was 5.2 this morning - and averaged 5.6 over the last week. Felt really cold again last evening - which I am recognising as a sign of weight loss.
Just a tip from Steve50 first shake around 12:00, second one around 16:00, Salad or soup at 19:30 - I get the munchies at night so this seams to work better for me, fill yourself up with tea or coffee without milk before 12:00. Need some salt and a spoon of Olive oil in the salad or soup, drink plenty of water. Good luck and keep reporting in.Thank you , just had my first shake, so hope all goes well
I found a distinct taste & consistency improvement when I crushed ice in a blender first before adding and mixing everything in the blender too. Better than just whisking in a bowl, for example. Thanks Rob
Sounds like the shakes and bars are ok - but the rest of it is down to taste! Like you, I prefer someone else to worry about the balance of vitamins, fiber etc etc etc. Might dip a toe and see what the shakes and bars are like.
Great going @Steve50.
I jumped off the wagong for a brief time yesterday with the pre-planned afternoon tea at a lovely hotel overlooking Windermere. Had a breakfast shake in the morning then nothing until arriving at the hotel when pre-eating BG was 4.7. Indulged in 4 finger sandwiches and 6 smallish cake offerings with tea & milk (not taken sugar for years). 2 hours after finishing eating BG was a very acceptable 7.1 and 3hrs after eating 5.4, so I am delighted how my body has managed that "normal" food intake - as a one off, occassional treat.
I can't believe how full I felt as well. I didn't want anything else for the rest of the day, whereas a month ago before starting this diet I would have been hankering for a significant Saturday night meal of steak, chips, onion rings, mushrooms & big bowl of side salad followed by some sort of sweet desert. I think the stomach has definitely shrunk.
I found the last week to be most difficult of the 8 weeks as the finish line is so close you just want to start eating but you will get there.Day 42 - Two weeks to go (I remember when Brettza had only two weeks to go!). Weight down another 0.1 kg. Total weight loss on the ND 8.5kg - very happy with that. BMI still 24. Fasting blood 5.9. Still a little high - but I'll take anything under 6.
I can see the finish line.
Your bodyfat setpoint is starting to get reset at a lower level, that is why you experience that incredible saitety. When you do this dieting, you give your brain a pause from all kinds of food, a kind of break for your brain when it comes to food reward. I have had periods when i was addicted to dietsoda, needed several a day, and before that cola as well. When I have cut out soda for months at a time, and then taste it, its not as good, the same is the case with candy.
