"Extremely bad diabetes" would require insulin to get under control, if one wants to call any kind of diabetes "extremely bad". If you're asking if you're a hopeless case, no you're not. You have pills that force the pancreas to produce more insulin. Not ideal, or really, far from it, and not advisable in the long run, but... No, you're not extremely bad.
