Hello everyone. I'm a 39 yo female who has just been diagnosed with T2. I went for a routine blood test because I'm susceptible to iron deficiency anemia. My nurse decided to do a full blood screening because I'm overweight. When the results came in, and had them print them out for me. I was happy vbecause my iron was at 70, which was an improvement. My blood glucose was also in the normal range, but my doctor diagnosed me with T2 because my HBa1c was 53. He said anything over 48 means T2.
Though it's been very tough coming to terms with it, I've decided to take it as a blessing in disguise. I'm now very selective with what I eat and I'm moving more. My partner is also changing his diet in solidarity with me. I figure this diagnosis has changed us for the better and we can live a long, healthy and happy life together.
